Don't forget to register for the 2009 Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo on December 8-10 in Grand Rapids! Thursday's program will feature a day full of Farmers Market Focus sessions to include: Food Safety on the Farm, Safe Food Sampling at Farmers Markets, and Tricks of the Trade for Farmers Markets.

Marketing and Outreach Committee

This committee is charged with generating greater awareness of MIFMA, developing MIFMA materials, recruiting new members, and continuing community outreach. Committee members include: Dietrich Bronner (co-chair), Nic Welty (co-chair), Hollie Hamel, Sher Watkins, Laurajeanne Kehn, Lylene Hillman, Emily Beutel and Donna McClurkan.

Professional Development Committee

This committee is charged with developing, providing and evaluating professional development opportunities for current and future MIFMA members including organizing conferences, field days, workshops and other types of training events. Committee members include: Laurajeanne Kehn (Co-chair), Robin Danto (Co-chair), Susan Smalley, Dietrich Bronner, Diane Golzynski, and Donna McClurkan.
